HUME PHOENIX DRINKS NIGHT
08.08.02
Well I did it, I finally managed to turn up to a Hume Phoenix drinks night. I really do not see why I was so scared of turning up, all went well. Had a blast, met a hell of a lot of new people, and feel that I will be helped by knowing that I am not alone in my not-heterosexual persuasion. I find great solace in that fact.
I have been welcomed no end. Turned up to the committee meeting to present my proposal for my Electronic Commerce Project subject, and field any questions members had regarding the ideas I had. No serious objections, a few concerns about privacy but that is to be understood due to the sensitive nature of site content and location + identification issues. These problems will be addressed, so all are happy. Lisa gave me a lift home from the meeting and offered to pick me up and take me back to the drinks night. Little did she know that she would be the designated driver for the evening, thanks to her kind generosity
Kicked back at drinks, met a lot of people, ran into a few whom I knew already knew, and a few who already knew me. Their privacy has been ensured, in exchange for mine. He shuts up, I stay shut up. Kicked on to the Globe after, and kept dancing till about 3 am, before Lisa drove me home which I was ever so appreciative of. I am going to turn up for every drinks night between now and when I leave town for the bright lights of Melbourne.
I can’t wait for drinks, and I can barely wait for Melbourne.
