21 AND COUNTING - YES/NO

Last night, wow. The high standing literary skills of myself pronounce my birthday party as a 'wow' moment.
Firstly I would love to thank all the people who made the effort to turn up, and those who bothered to tell me they weren't.

I had a pretty good night overall, excluding the situations when Jenny decided it was time to tell me I was "getting a little bit butch, and [she hoped] that I wasn't going to tell her I was one of those things she didn't want me to be". By this I was assuming she didn't want me to come out of the proverbial closet. I think she already knows I am gay, but still think she is as homophobic as ever so I am not telling her a thing. But my sisters response certainly set her in her place for a second or two. "She is a lesbian, I asked her before and she told me already." Gotta love my sisters' defence of me. Aww shucks, I spy me getting all emotional and soppy. Time for a new paragraph
Ahh, that feels better!
Dinner was an interesting time, food was good, and much to the surprise of Ross, on fire. Daniel made a retort that they have a domestic cooking/food prep problem seeing most of the food came to the table on hot plates, griddle pans, or on fire. 'Shouldn’t the cooking take place in the kitchen?', was something along the lines of what was said.
Jenny took it upon herself, the self confessed 'aunty from hell' certainly was. Eternal damnation for all GLBT folks, dancing on chairs [she didn't trust the rickety tables, to support her weight] and sarcastic comments regarding my new haircut. [Short all over, slightly longer and spiky on top.] Butch.
The Termo was the traditional evening. The techno room had less and less people as the night progressed. Most of my friends had left before we even got inside to dance. With Sarah and Lauren the last to leave at about 1.15am. So I spent the rest of the night with Mandy and Peta. And some other chicks (3) and a couple of guys (2) I sort of found out there on the dance floor. [I would like to publicly apologise again for standing/stomping/jumping on one of these lovely ladies delicate feet later that evening, Sorry.]
I stayed till close again, another 5 hours of dancing had passed and I thanked the DJ, Peta and Mandy for spending some time with me, and helping me enjoy what was left of my birthday celebrations before I walked to the other end of dean Street to pick up a taxi, and head home.
Got in at about 4.15. Jumped in the shower to rid myself of the awful cigarette smoke, alcohol and dance floor fog smell. Washed my clothes and went to bed.
A pretty good night was had. Some discerning news though. Mandy currently has a man in her life, so I am/will remain out of the picture for a while yet. But I maintain hope for the future. You never know when she gets sick of guys again.
Now to the next thing in my life. Trying to get healthier, so I can stay awake for more than 6-8 hours at a time. Or perhaps concentrate long enough and hard enough to actually complete and retain some knowledge/information from the text books assigned for this weeks tutorial readings.
Almost forgot the adult beverage count for the evening: A grand ole' total of one point five approximate alcoholic beverages were consumed by me. Thanks to Daniel's gift of one of those cute little bottles of Smirnoff vodka. Thanks maaate!
Oh, and just cause I wanna brag. Hehe. The two of the bar chicks last night complemented me on my ability to move, and I ended up dancing with one of then during her lunch/dinner break, and again, when she collected glasses next. So that kinda made my night again. Gotta love that. I did.
Update again soon. I am off to spy a new object of my desires. Or re-kindle any of my past interests. I'll see where that leaves me with them. I hope I haven't got a crush on a straight chick again. That is so futile. Hey Jem, where did you go? Interested?
